JANUARY 2026: THE FINAL SHEDDING BEFORE THE FIRE

The January Ji Chou (Earth Ox) Month from January 5 – February 3, marks the final closing chapter of the Yi Si (Wood Snake) year, acting as a crucial wrap-up point before the Fire Horse fully takes over. This month is the resolution of 2025’s potent healing quality — culminating the work of conscious reflection, inner recalibration and aligned outer action all throughout this concluding year.

The Ox month always acts as a bridge into the Tiger month of the new solar year, but this time’s closing month is especially significant. It offers us a rare opportunity to close the year with a refreshed mindset — and mindset is everything. Intention and thought are where all possibilities begin. How we close now determines how lightly or heavily we officially enter the Fire Horse year ahead.

The 2026 Fire Horse promises intensity and acceleration. Those who travel light — mentally, emotionally, and energetically — will experience a magical year of momentum and opportunity. For those holding onto stagnation, stubbornness, or unlearned lessons, the same energy brings instant ripening and unavoidable consequences. The healing potential of the Wood Snake expires; which path we are heading towards is dependent upon the level and depth of inner-work we have acted upon all through 2025.

There is also a side benefit to this deep internal reset afforded by the January Earth Ox. You may notice small but meaningful rewards appearing — confirmations from the universe that one is reprogramming correctly and aligning with genuine soul growth. These are not accidents, but affirmations that progress is underway.

Chronologically, January carries two distinct phases. The first half — up to around January 23 (slightly after the midpoint) can feel pressurising, responsibility-heavy, and mentally demanding. Decisions accumulate, commitments feel weighty, and expectations intensify. This is not the time to hold on, resist nor complain. Flow and surrender are essential and heart-led discernment is the key decision-maker to long-term choices.

After the seasonal shift in the second half of the month (a few days into the Major Cold (Da Ha) 24 season), the energy becomes lighter yet more forward-pulling. Momentum builds, excitement stirs, and while instability remains the main signature, it is suited for final adjustments and realignment. This phase prepares us for the full inferno of the Fire Horse — not by resisting it, but by learning how to move with speed, awareness, and adaptability.

Remember this as we conclude the Wood Snake Year: closure is not about endings, but about readiness. What you consciously release and overcome now determines the quality of what you can receive next.

The end-year closed with Soul’s Journey Egypt 2025 which unfolded as a profound initiatory experience, weaving ancient land wisdom with present-day remembrance. Participants moved through sacred temples, activations, and lived rituals that rewired inner timelines and re-anchored soul purpose in the body — with an emphasis of healing and energy work.

This was followed in the 2nd half of December by HEAVEN’S GATEWAY: Manifesting Through Time, Energy & the Winter Solstice Portal, broadcasted live from Glastonbury, England on December 19. Working with the stillness and potency of the Solstice, this transmission anchored clarity, recalibration, and future-seeded intention - alongside key timely astrological info.

January opened powerfully!
