December 2024: Maximising Resources To Power-Up Future Growth

The year of the Wood Dragon is fast coming to its end! We are now at the last Gregorian month of 2024: the December Fire Rat (Bing Zi) month, from December 7 to January 4, is not only the last month of 2024 but also signifies the final month that can directly strengthen and grow the overt energies of the Wood Dragon Year.
Immediately following the extra boost of potent growth energy of November’s Wood Boar month, the Bing Zi (Yang Fire Rat) will further aid the growth of the thematic energy of the year: Jia Wood (Yang Wood). This is because the Bing Fire (carried on the month stem) is in a supportive “reverse growth” position in relation to Jia Wood (of the annual stem, the theme of the year).
Further boosting this growth energy is the harmony between the monthly Rat with the annual Dragon - a half combination that enhances the water element, the anchor energy of the Winter Season (which is also strongest in this Rat month). Therefore, we not only have the peak of water feeding Jia Wood, but the appearance of the “bright sun” Bing Fire also nourishes growth.
With slightly over a week from the start of the Fire Rat month until the end of the current Mercury Retrograde around December 15, the 1st week of the Fire Rat month will be ideal for finalising the review, re-assessment or in-depth study of any plans and projects that you are currently developing - especially those aimed for some level of fruition in 2025.
This effort will be supported with the Full Moon on December 15, enhancing the mental-based focus in figuring-out, analysing and the putting-together of plans and projects. This is especially so within the context of changed or redirected personal goals, and the required work to realign one’s key life structures to fit these new directions.
Remember though to loosen-up expectations on the “need” to have everything all figured-out, sorted and confirmed. These arising concerns would likely involve efforts in reconciling current relationships and partnerships, especially in terms of overall direction or where things are headed in the long-term. Trust that some pieces of the puzzle may take time and its due course in order to fall into place in future sometime.

The Fire Rat month’s energy will tie-in with the consolidation of the work in harnessing resources and boosting growth - with the key theme of 2024’s expiring 1st year of Period 9 being maximum growth - now coming to its end. As such, this is the last month to dedicate to the overall strengthening of one’s position through drawing on multiple resources - making preparation, analysis and research to boost as much growth and expansion as possible.
Bear in mind that these efforts will likely involve an outflow of an energy investment - either financially or energetically in some form, in order to capture the most of the temporal resources at hand during this timing. Therefore, seize and go full-out on these opportunities in preparation for 2025 and beyond; instead of anticipating immediate results or simply wanting to just sit back and relax!
