August 2023: Breakthrough To Release & Build Anew

With August, we enter the autumn season, leaving behind the potent Fire & Earth energies of summer 2023. Once again, we are gifted by 2023’s many months of pure qi; this time Metal Qi anchoring the autumn season. The clarity of the autumn metal qi in these 2 months provides the opportunity to tap into the energy of precision, programming & assessment. This alignment fosters a period of innovation and strategic thinking.
The August Metal Monkey month (August 8 - September 7) begins on the auspicious Lion’s Gate Portal on August 8. It is the annual galactic event when the star Sirius, also known as the "Spiritual Sun," aligns with Earth and the Galactic Center. This alignment opens a doorway between the spiritual and physical realms. It is a portal of heightened consciousness and an opportunity for individuals to connect with their higher selves and align with their soul's purpose; to receive insights, enabling a release of old patterns and blockages & allowing for future manifestation and the crafting of the road ahead.
The Metal Monkey (Geng Shen) - being a solid “block” of almost pure Yang Metal - signifies that it is a time when bold, strong & decisive actions will yield significant results. The Metal Monkey month favours the daring & those who are unafraid to take calculated risks. Those who have sown the seeds, grown & nurtured projects earlier will see the harvest & manifestation of energy invested, especially in the 1st half of August.
At a deeper level, August is THE month to really get-down-to-work to passionately establish the routine and modus operandi of a major area of life for example a new business, a relocation or new relationship etc - as these endeavours are extra boosted by a unique connection to the Rabbit year. There is a “superpower” flow enabled for those who are able to harness the flexibility, creativity & growth afforded by the Rabbit - collating it into superlative power & action of Geng (Yang) metal dominating this month!

Take note that these work and activities would most likely entail the necessary change, breakage & re-establishment of the structural foundation of key areas in one’s life such as those related to a new career, business or long-standing relationship. These changes would be the result of the intense realisation, release & follow-through repositioning of life that the majority of us would have undergone since the pandemic - leading into Period 9.
These will be the crux of activities for Autumn 2023. Besides karmic results manifested, the review & reprogramming “metallic” foundation energy present in any autumn is especially enhanced this year by the timely arrival of yet another Mercury Retrograde cycle on August 23. Indeed, the review and re-assessment energies associated with the Mercury Retrograde last not only through the remainder of the Metal Monkey month, but also lead into the disruption & change energies of the upcoming “Grand Duke clash” Metal Rooster month.
Overall, this August Metal Monkey month offers an opportunity to have a focused determination towards action, improved efficiency, and achieve excellence in various aspects of life. However, it's crucial to remain mindful of potential conflicts that may arise due to the strong Metal influence. Practicing patience and open communication will help navigate any challenges and maintain a peaceful atmosphere.

After our inaugural online TEA LEAVES DIVINATION masterclass on July 2 & 3, it was then time to make urgent, personal breakthroughs to successfully thrive in the fast-approaching official start of Period 9. BREAKTHROUGH WITH BAZI IN PERIOD 9 was a full-day workshop held on July 8.
Speaking of inaugural, the debut of our on-ground “innerwork gym” series F.A.T. BODY MOVEMENT: Unlock Your Flow, Awareness & Transcendence was held on Sunday, July 9. With this series, we aim to facilitate a transcendental experience connecting body movement to self awareness in order to breakthrough limitations to maximise one’s potential!
