APRIL 2026: Volatility, Momentum & Acceleration!

Electrifying is the word for the energy activation of the April Water Dragon month (April 5 – May 4).

In the month of the Yang Water Dragon (Ren Chen) meeting the annual Yang Fire Horse (Bing Fire), outwardly, the appearance is that Yang Water controls Yang Fire. Yet the imagery tells a different story — the reflective surface of Yang Water (pooled water) does not extinguish, but instead brightens and enhances Yang Fire, much like water reflecting and amplifying the Sun.

While the interaction between the monthly Dragon and annual Horse appears neutral on the surface, a less obvious interaction between Yang Water and Yin Fire (Ding) of the Horse activates a combustive quality. This underlying dynamic sets the tone for the month — powerful, charged, and inherently volatile.

The official start of the Water Dragon month begins on a softer note, with the preceding Full Moon on April 1/2 reinforcing an anchor into what truly matters. Even as external demands, expectations, and competing priorities pull for attention, the path forward becomes clearer when we return to the heart — grounding into core values, honouring relationships, and moving in alignment with what is fundamentally true.

The real activation begins about a week into the Water Dragon month, around April 13, where energies start to build and intensify toward mid-month. This marks the first key turning point — an opening for rapid realignment. What becomes available here is not just change, but a conscious restructuring — one that is enabled not only by will, but through the deliberate crafting of a change process.

This builds directly into the New Moon cycle beginning April 17, where the days that follow — though volatile — support the empowered setting of long-term commitments and direction. It is here that intention meets structure, and where decisive alignment begins to take form.

As we move through the solar term of Grain Rain beginning April 20, the energy amplifies further into a period of heightened intensity. This becomes the most volatile phase of the month — a space that can manifest as disturbance and instability if resisted, or as accelerated momentum if engaged consciously.

The potential here is significant: quantum shifts, major breakthroughs, and drastic leaps forward. This wave of instability and activation carries through toward the end of the calendar month, demanding presence, adaptability, and clarity of direction.

This is therefore not a passive month, but one that calls for conscious presence. With the volatility of the energy, it is important to maintain a clear head and steady emotions, even as external pressures shift. Returning to core values provides a stabilising anchor, while clarity of direction ensures the strong current supports rather than scatters.

As we move further into the year, the focus now shifts from activation into mastery — and this is where the next phase of work becomes critical.

Centred on Tarot as a pictorial language of divination, this programme develops your ability to read beyond fixed meanings — interpreting symbols and imagery with clarity and depth. The result is a living tool for guidance, sharpening perception and strengthening your connection to the unfolding patterns of life.

In May as well, we arrive at the inaugural Energy Codex (May 9–11). This programme introduces a cohesive framework for energy empowerment — aligning the divine, environmental forces, and our personal energetic state to unlock deeper transformation and conscious creation.
